Job Introduction

2gether Support Solutions is a Facilities and Estates services company providing support to healthcare professionals caring for over 2000 patients daily across multiple East Kent hospital sites. 2gether provides vital services including maintenance, cleaning, catering, procurement, logistics, and more.

This is a permanent, part-time role working from 15:00 to 20:00 on Saturday and Sunday.

As a Domestic Team Leader, you will be a vital member of a large facilities team, responsible for ensuring the hospital operates within high standards of cleanliness, safety, and patient service.

You will lead a team, employing strong people management skills, and use excellent communication skills to motivate and direct the team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safe procedures. You will oversee a team of Domestic Assistants and be hands-on when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake operational tasks as required.
  • Allocate tasks and monitor team performance.
  • Liaise and communicate with clinical staff.
  • Ensure all cleaning duties are performed diligently and according to statutory and regulatory standards, including compliance with H&S and HACCP policies.
  • Report hazards or potential failures to the line manager.
  • Ensure proper storage of materials and equipment in line with Health and Safety and COSHH regulations.
  • Build customer satisfaction and relationships.
  • Communicate effectively with all staff levels.
  • Provide ad-hoc training to new team members.
  • Record and feedback results to the Facilities teams accurately.
  • Promote standardisation and best practices across departments.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the site.
  • Participate in training courses to enhance knowledge.
