Job summary

Maple View School in the SENAD Group portfolio is seeking a Domestic Team Leader to guide the housekeeping team and participate in hands-on duties. You will ensure cleaning and laundry tasks meet schedules and high quality standards, while auditing areas and addressing concerns.

Responsibilities include day-to-day management, inductions for new staff, absence management and regular performance reviews, all within strict hygiene and safety guidelines across the school and houses.

Qualifications

• Experience leading domestic/housekeeping teams.
• Strong knowledge of hygiene, health and safety practices.
• Ability to conduct inductions, absence management and staff appraisals.

Job description

Due to the school's expansion we are now seeking a Domestic Team Leader to lead the school's Housekeeping Team.

You will lead and manage our team of domestic staff while also maintaining a 'hands on' approach.

You will be responsible for carrying out a range of cleaning and laundry duties in accordance with the relevant schedules, and to ensure these duties are completed to the highest quality and to agreed standards.

You will regularly audit all areas of the school and houses and address and/or report any concerns accordingly.

You will be responsible for the day to day management of the team and will take an active part in induction for all new employees, absence management and completing regular one to one supervisions and performance reviews with the staff.

You must ensure high standards of hygiene, health and safety at all times.

All school rules and operational standards must be respected at all times.

MONDAY to FRIDAY 32.5 hours per week, 0600 - 1230, 52 weeks, 28 days holiday, pension, Employee Assistance Programme

£13.78 per hour

Maple View School opened in June 2020 and is an aspirational specialist school in the SENAD Group portfolio for children with moderate to severe learning difficulties, aged 6 to 16 years. The school offers fully individualised and inclusive education and residential care for up to 22 pupils. The school is located close to Derby City Centre and is easily accessible by public transport.
