Job summary

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking a dedicated domestic support worker to assist a female client in Anlaby. The role involves deep cleaning, regular cleaning and domestic tasks, including windows, skirting boards, doors, dusting and hoovering, with four hours of work per fortnight (days can be agreed).

Applicants should be reliable, proactive and patient, with good communication skills. DBS/reference checks are required and funded by the council; the Direct Payments Support Service

Job description

This is an external vacancy and is not employment with East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

The individual is female 60 years old and resides in Anlaby. They require a dedicated and suitable person to support them for 4 hours per fortnight on either Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Fridays - days per fortnight can be agreed each fortnight between worker and employer.

The role is to support initially with a deep clean, then regular cleaning and domestics, windows, skirting boards, doors, dusting, hoovering and other household chores as and when identified.

DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post – Cost to be met by the local authority.

The Direct Payments Support Service is an in-house service provided by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The service promotes independent choice and inclusion, allowing our service users to employ their own care and support as needed. We support many individuals with varying abilities, assisting with advertising and recruitment for a range of roles including support workers, carers and personal assistants.
