Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Liverpool is seeking a Domestic Supervisor to oversee team operations and training. This role includes scheduling, maintaining hygiene standards, and handling customer complaints. Candidates should have experience in team supervision and health and safety compliance. This position offers 20 hours a week, Monday to Friday from 3 PM to 7 PM.

Job description

To provide direct supervision and organization of the domestic team, arranging cover for absences and unforeseen circumstances, and adjusting work schedules to meet service needs and acceptable standards of cleaning.

To ensure all staff work according to Trust policies, are correctly instructed and trained in operating methods, equipment, and techniques to maintain a safe environment.

Responsible for the day-to-day domestic service within a specified shift time and zone.

Hours of Work: 20 Hours

Monday - Friday 3pm - 7pm

Ensure rotas are covered, allocate work to Domestic Assistants, liaise with management to maintain service during staff shortages, prioritize urgent requests, and authorize overtime within budget.

Train staff in basic job skills under management's direction.

Train staff in health and safety, including cascade and toolbox training, ensure compliance with mandatory training such as COSHH, and arrange staff attendance at training sessions.

Record training information digitally and contribute to the development of toolbox training sheets.

Conduct staff appraisals.

Cooperate on health and safety matters, ensuring staff compliance with current practices.

Ensure staff perform duties to the required standards, address performance issues, and escalate to management as needed.

Under management direction, have authority to give informal disciplinary warnings.

Report staff non-compliance issues related to Aintree values.

Maintain Trust hygiene standards, including personal cleanliness and working practices.

Handle customer complaints with management and complete relevant documentation.
