A healthcare organization in North Wales is seeking a Domestic Supervisor to manage a team of cleaning staff and ensure high standards are met. The role involves coordinating activities, training staff, and supporting service development. Candidates who can speak Welsh are encouraged to apply. This full-time position offers a chance to contribute to a quality cleaning service within the Health Board.
In conjunction with peers, coordinate and organise day-to-day activities of the operation staff within the department and support the development of a cost-effective, customer-responsive service.
The overall purpose of the job is to work as part of a team and be the first point of contact for the Domestic Assistants. When working in the community, this will also include Portering Assistants.
To be committed to providing the best quality cleaning services within the Health Board's premises. Share learned practices with others to develop cleaning services as changes are made over time, allowing the department and individuals to adapt to changing needs.
Use skills effectively when supervising, training, and auditing cleaning processes with Domestic Assistants in various areas, from very high risk to low risk, as classified by the National Standards of Cleanliness. Manage different audit lead times to monitor and sustain best cleaning practices and ensure standards are met.
Assist the Assistant Hotel Services Manager (Domestic) in their duties, make responsible decisions in their absence, and support the development of a cost-effective, customer-responsive service. Domestic Supervisor role involves working on rota, 08:00 - 19:00 hours, at Ysbyty Alltwen and Bryn Beryl, supporting some Community sites, 37.5 hours per week.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally encouraged to apply.
