An exciting opportunity to join the Domestic Services Team at Darlington Memorial Hospital as a Domestic Assistant. The role involves maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for patients and staff. Candidates should ideally have cleaning experience in healthcare, but training will be provided. This position requires flexibility and the ability to work weekends, with the goal of achieving NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning and Support Services.

An excellent opportunity has arisen within Synchronicity Care Limited (SCL) for anenthusiastic, self-motivated and committed individual to influence andcontribute as part of the Domestic Services Team at Darlington MemorialHospital.
Domestic Assistants are important members of the team whoassist with maintaining a clean and welcoming environment over a 24/7 periodfor patients, staff and visitors within a busy acute hospital.The successfulapplicant should preferably have previous cleaning experience in a healthcareenvironment however full training will be provided and all successful postholders will be expected to work towards gaining a NVQ Level 2 Certificate inCleaning and Support Services .
Successful post holders will be expected to workshift pattern which includes weekends. All post holders will be subject to a 6month probationary period.
Successful post holders will be required to carry outspecific cleaning and other related duties following set procedures andstandards to maintain the levels of cleanliness throughout the environment.
They will be required to work as part of a team and have theability to use a degree of initiative to prioritise and organise the dailyduties, whilst maintaining a professional approach at all times regardless of thesituation.
They will ensure that communicaton channels are maintainedbetween appropirate staff, visitors and patient groups with regard todepartmental cleaning hygiene.
Post holders will be also be expected to be flexible to theneeds of the service ensuring that a continuity of service is maintained whilstadhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
They will have the ability to work unsupervised,be caring, flexible and reliable and have good levels of personal hygiene.
SCL is a wholly owned subsidiary of County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust (CDDFT) set up to deliver a range of non-clinical services The company is a separate legal body to CDDFT.

Bank work is offered on an 'as and when' basis with no guaranteed hours and will be paid on a pro-rata hourly rate for hours worked only
Toundertake cleaning duties as detailed within the domestic method statements,following cleaning schedules and COSHH guidelines.
Ensurecompliance with all aspects of Health & Safety legalisations and correctuse of PPE.
Tomaintain the hospital environment as laid down in the National standards ofCleanliness.
Undertakerectifications from the cleaning audit action plans and showing continuallyimprovement.
Assistwith beverage service as required and agreed.
Thoroughand hygienic cleaning of all domestic equipment and storage areas
To attendTrust or required training courses that is relevant to the post as a domestic.
Requestand replenish of all cleaning productsthrough effective stock ordering
Maintain ahigh level of personal hygiene
Adherenceto all Trust / Synchronicity CareLimited (SCL) and Departmental policies and procedures.
Checking ofall equipment before use and report any faults and defects tosupervisor/manager
Recordingand maintaining records as required
Reportingof any estates issues that have an impact on the cleaning services that youprovide.
Undertakeany other domestic orientated duties as required.
Specialist Cleaning Activities
Toundertake any specialised cleaning (HPV cleaning) as and when instructed by asupervisor or manager following appropriate protocols and completion ofassociated documentation.
