Job summary

David Whiting Solutions Ltd is seeking a Domestic Plumber to install and service central heating systems, install bathrooms and perform general plumbing in residential properties across Northamptonshire.

You will undertake inspections, unvented hot water safety checks and Legionella assessments with training provided, plus heating works such as radiators and CH pumps. Full and part-time roles are available with a company van and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent.
• Gas qualification is required.
• Based in Northamptonshire.
• Excellent practical knowledge of plumbing and wet works.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing repairs across a range of contracts, including installations as required.
• Perform plumbing inspections and safety checks (unvented hot water cylinder, Legionella assessments) with training provided.
• Carry out heating wet work (replacing radiators, valves, CH pumps, zone valves).
• Support and maintain high professional standards in customer interactions on site.

The Role

As a Domestic Plumber, you will carry out plumbing repair work across a range of contracts, including but not limited to insurance policy holders, housing associations and tenanted properties; in addition, you will be expected to help and support with installation work as required.

You will perform plumbing inspections, unvented hot water cylinder safety checks and occasional Legionella assessments (we will provide training where necessary). Furthermore, you will carry out heating wet work such as replacing radiators and valves, CH pumps, heating zone valves etc.

Position Requirements

At David Whiting Solutions Ltd, we recruit based on potential, values and fit, rather than just experience and qualifications. We are seeking a Domestic Plumber with:

• A positive and can-do attitude
• A flexible approach to working, providing support as and when required
• Excellent practical knowledge of both plumbing and wet works
• Significant experience within plumbing, ideally 3 years’ vocational experience
• Experience of mentoring and supporting apprentices would be advantageous to your application but is not essential
• NVQ Level 2 in plumbing and Heating or equivalent,
• Gas Qualification
• Based in Northamptonshire

Domestic Plumber Position Remuneration

• Salary £31,000 - £36,000 depending on experience, pro-rata depending on hours worked if Part Time
