Domestic Operations Manager

Location: Blackpool Hospital
Salary: Up TO £35,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days over 7
Contract: Permanent

Are you an experienced operations leader with a passion for maintaining excellence in healthcare environments? We are seeking a Domestic Services Operations Manager to oversee the efficient delivery of cleaning services at Blackpool Hospital. This role is vital in ensuring a safe, hygienic, and high-quality environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

About the Role

As Operations Manager, you will take ownership of all cleaning services within the hospital, ensuring they meet the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and efficiency. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will also act as their key deputy, playing a critical role in service delivery, compliance, and team leadership.

This is a site-based role, primarily working Monday to Friday, though flexibility is required to cover weekends and bank holidays when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee and manage all cleaning services within the hospital
  2. Ensure service excellence, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency
  3. Drive continuous improvement to enhance service quality and effectiveness
  4. Manage budgets, suppliers, and resource allocation effectively
  5. Lead and motivate diverse teams to achieve high performance and customer satisfaction
  6. Collaborate with hospital management and internal teams to maintain seamless operations
  7. Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and industry standards
About You
  1. Proven experience in operations management, preferably within healthcare, facilities management, or a similar regulated environment
  2. Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire teams
  3. Excellent understanding of health & safety regulations and industry compliance
  4. Ability to manage budgets and supplier relationships effectively
  5. A proactive, hands-on approach with a commitment to service excellence
