Job summary

St Philips Care Group is seeking a vigilant Domestic and Laundry Assistant to join Pittendreich Care Centre on a bank basis. You will maintain high cleanliness standards across resident rooms, communal areas, showers, bathrooms, dining and seating areas, reporting to the Care Home Manager. Flexibility, reliability and COSHH awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day running of a busy care establishment and report to the Care Home Manager.

As a part of the house keeping team you are a valued and respected part of the team. We are looking for an individual who has high attention to detail, high standards and pride in their work.

You are responsible for maintaining high standards or cleanliness throughout the home for our residents, cleaning and caring for our residents rooms and ensuring they are homily and tidy.

You are responsible for communal areas, showers, bathrooms, dinning area and seating areas.

Our Care Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Domestic Housekeeping Assistant to assist in the day to day running of a busy and vibrant care establishment.

You will be reporting to the Care Home Manager,

Candidates Should Have:

• A flexible approach to work
• High standards and good work ethic
• Ability to prioritise workloadBe able to use resources economically and effectively
• Beware of correct cleaning solutions and equipment for correct job
• Be aware of the responsibility to report any accidents, untoward incidents, hazards and unsafe equipment
• An awareness of COSHH and health and safety in the workplace.

As a Domestic and Laundry Assistant it would be desirable to have:

• Previous experience of care work in a Hospital or Care Home.
• An interest for Care of the Elderly
