Job Introduction

We’re looking for a Domestic Laundry Assistant to join our Sodexo team at Royal Stoke Hospital. In this vital role, you’ll help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your work will directly support health and wellbeing throughout the hospital.If you have a strong work ethic, an eye for detail, and take pride in delivering exceptional service, this is your chance to be part of something greater. What you’ll do:

  • Launder dirty Mops
  • Lift cages of wet mops once Laundered
  • Collect dirty mops and distribute clean mops back out to zones using cages to transport mops
  • Keep mop counts via Excel Spreadsheet
  • Perform daily tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, floor polishing, and replenishing supplies within your work area
  • Empty waste bins and manage refuse in line with hospital protocols within your work area
  • Promote and maintain a safe, healthy environment for all patients, staff, and visitors

  • Physical capability to carry out this physically demanding role

  • Professionalism, integrity, and a neat, presentable appearance

  • Previous experience from cleaning and factory background (desirable)
