Job summary

Yorkshire Housing is seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join the Gas Team in the Barnsley area, with occasional support across Yorkshire. The role involves carrying out annual gas services, safety checks and boiler repairs in our homes, following all regulations.

We offer a salary of £42,000 per year (£21.53/hour) for a 37.5-hour week, plus opportunities for call-out and overtime, 26 days leave rising to 31 with service, pension, Perkbox discounts, a company van, tools and PPE.

Qualifications

• At least two years’ experience servicing and maintaining domestic heating systems.
• ACS Certificates: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1 & CKR1 (or equivalent).
• Confidence working independently and solving problems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out annual gas services, safety checks and boiler repairs across our homes.
• Follow all regulations and Yorkshire Housing policies.
• Work with the compliance team to ensure safety and high standards.

In this role, you’ll carry out annual gas services, safety checks, and boiler repairs and maintenance across our homes, following all the relevant regulations and Yorkshire Housing policies.

You’ll be the friendly face our customers see, so great communication and a warm, professional approach are key.

We aim to resolve issues on the first visit wherever possible, and you’ll work closely with our compliance team to make sure everything’s done safely and to a high standard.

We’re looking for someone who has
