Job description

Join to apply for the Domestic Electrician - reactive repairs role at Gilmartins.

We are recruiting experienced Domestic Electricians qualified to:

1. 2365 Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation (or equivalent electrician qualification)
2. BS7671:2018 Wiring Regulations for 18th Edition
3. 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification

Gilmartins work in social housing and provide reactive repairs for local authorities and housing associations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in social housing.

The role involves work and travel in the South West London area, including main post codes SE18 and SW5. Properties are spread across these areas, requiring regular travel.

Gilmartins is a family-owned business that values its staff and promotes from within. Our Board of Directors mostly started on the tools and have a hands-on understanding of the work.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out property repairs and maintenance works in social housing.
• Work according to the Scope of Works on PDA for each job.

Minimum Requirements:

• Full UK manual driving license (not EU license, not automatic).
• Own tools.
• Fully qualified with certificates available for verification.
• Experience in social housing.
• DBS certificate.
• ECS card (preferably).

Working Hours:

8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, with call-outs approximately once every 4 weeks. On-call duties are from Monday to Sunday, 5pm to 1am, with a call-out fee of £35-£50.
