Job summary

Think PS Ltd in the United Kingdom seeks a domestic electrician to join a kitchen replacement program in the Newcastle Under Lyme region. The role involves working in occupied and void properties, ensuring safe electrical work and compliance with current regulations.

The successful candidate will perform tests, inspections, installations, and record work using a PDA system, while handling van stock and callout opportunities after probation.

Qualifications

• Electrical safety and high standards of workmanship required.
• Knowledge of BS7671 and related regulations is essential.
• Willingness to maintain and update electrical certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assess job requirements: take dimensions, organise materials, tools and equipment.
• Complete all necessary certification in a concise and legible manner.
• Carry out Pre & Post Inspections as directed by line manager.
• Plan, deliver and record all work using a PDA system or other systems.
• Maintain van stock and imprest stock.
• Undertake electrical repairs, installations and testing in domestic/commercial buildings incl. consumer unit changes and rewires.
• Carry out Electrical Inspection Condition Reports and testing to BS7671 and IET Wiring Regulations.
• Complete other electrical certifications to comply with Part P Building Regulations.
• Undertake other remedial works as required.
• Be fully conversant with 230V and 415V installation works.
• Ensure compliance with IEE Wiring Regulations and manufacturer instructions.
