Job summary

A community service organization in Sefton is seeking a Cleaning Staff member to perform general cleaning duties such as sanitizing bathrooms and kitchens. Applicants should have previous cleaning experience, strong attention to detail, and be able to work independently. The role offers 30 hours a week at £12.27 per hour with shifts from 08:00 to 14:00, Monday to Saturday.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning of rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing surfaces.
• Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms (toilets, sinks, showers, bathtubs, mirrors, tiles).
• Cleaning kitchens, including wiping surfaces, appliances, cupboards, and sinks.
• Emptying bins and disposing of household waste and recycling.
• Changing bed linens and making beds.
• Laundry and ironing (if required).
• Maintaining cleaning equipment and reporting any faults or supply needs.
• Following health and safety standards, including safe use of cleaning products.
• Respecting household privacy, property, and confidentiality.

Skills & Qualities

• Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not always required).
• Good attention to detail and high cleaning standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
