The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a domestic cleaner to support hospital hygiene across wards, departments and public areas, removing dust, dirt and liquids to prevent infection and maintain a clinical environment.

Full training is provided. Candidates should have good written and verbal communication and strong customer service skills; the role offers development opportunities within the NHS trust in London.

Job description

To provide a domestic cleaning service to remove dust, dirt, debris, liquid to prevent the spread of infection, preserve the life of the building, fabric and furnishings whilst providing a clinical and/or socially acceptable hospital environment which includes wards, departments and public areas. Our domestic team take pride in ensuring all areas of the hospital meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all patient, visitor and staff areas. For these positions it is desirable to have previous cleaning experience but not essential, we can provide full training. You will however need to have:

• good communication skills both written and verbal
• be able to demonstrate good customer service skills

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
