We are currently seeking a Domestic Assistant to join our team at Sodexo in Haywood Hospital, High Ln, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent ST6 7AG. As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, staff, and visitors by maintaining a clean and hygienic environment at our hospital. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, a strong work ethic, and excellent organisational skills. What you’ll do:

  • Maintain patient safety by keeping their rooms, wards, communal areas, restrooms, and other hospital areas clean.
  • Strip and clean beds and collect linen
  • Clean desks, ceilings and vents, walls, blinds, and other surfaces to create a sterile, safe environment.
  • Dust, mop, vacuum, sweep, polish floors, and replenish supplies
  • Emptying bins and waste containers
  • Actively champion a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and staff
