Job summary

Holmes Care Group in Scotland is looking for a friendly Domestic Assistant to join our Heatherfield home. You will help keep resident areas clean, safe, and welcoming, supporting daily routines and ensuring hygiene standards are met.

No previous experience is required—just a caring attitude and a willingness to learn. This 30-hour per week daytime role offers training and the chance to grow within a supportive team.

What does the day of a Domestic Assistant look like?

Our Domestic staff will ensure our homes are kept clean, presentable, and safe for residents and visitors:

To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the premises

To clean resident rooms, communal and staff areas as well as toilets and bathrooms

Disposal of refuse/waste ensuring waste bins are maintained.

Assist with laundry tasks.

Assisting with dining room preparation for mealtimes

Develop a positive relationship with all residents, staff and visitors by becoming an important member of the team
