Job summary

Exemplar Ltd is seeking a Domestic Assistant to help maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across residents' homes. The role involves routine cleaning, laundry support, and reporting hazards, with induction and ongoing training provided to all new colleagues.

You will be part of a supportive team, valued for attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude, helping create a welcoming environment for residents and staff alike.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required; prior care sector experience not essential.
• Ability to follow cleaning routines and hygiene standards.
• Willingness to learn, with induction and ongoing training provided.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily and weekly cleaning routines and ad-hoc duties.
• Clean and tidy designated areas around the home (bedrooms, lounges, kitchens, bathrooms, offices).
• Dust, mop, polish and vacuum all areas; use carpet cleaning machines.
• Support with washing and drying laundry as required.
• Report breakages, damage, defects and hazards promptly.
• Promote dignity, independence and person-centered care in residents.
