We are looking for more people to join our Hospital Cleaning Team to help us provide a secluded environment for patients.
Being a cleaner in our Hospitals is a special job. Our cleaners are key members of ward teams, working with clinical staff to support patients' wellbeing while they are in hospital.
This is because a clean environment not only makes a hospital stay more pleasant - it also helps keep infections at bay. Cleaning in a Hospital requires skills above a typical cleaning job, so we also provide free specialist training to give you that extra knowledge. You will be required to undertake duties to ensure that a clean and hygienic environment is maintained within the hospital and other Health Board buildings, including in patient and non-patient environments under the direction of the Domestic Services Supervisor.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, at times, the post holder may be required to work in a unit or at other sites across the Health Board. We look forward to receiving your application.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this position; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply for the position.
Follow departmental procedures and provide a responsive cleaning and disinfection service for patient and non-patient areas throughout the healthcare site. All work is to be done in accordance with Health and Safety policies and procedures, COSHH and cleanliness, and a commitment to customer care, following on-the-job training.
