Overview

Domestic Assistants are responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness at Warrington Hospital, in line with Trust cleaning protocols. You will carry out cleaning tasks, operate equipment (e.g., buffing machine, vacuum cleaner), and move buckets of water and cleaning equipment as required.

You will be responsible for the correct use, security and storage of your equipment and cleaning materials, ensuring stock levels are maintained and used appropriately.

Known locally as WHH, the Trust is a fast-paced, ambitious organisation committed to outstanding patient care and the employment experience of its staff. It is part of the Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care system and works in partnership with the University of Chester toward university hospital status.

We are seeking Domestic Assistants to work at Warrington Hospital, who will maintain high standards of cleanliness in-line with Trust cleaning protocols. You will communicate with colleagues in connection with your own job role and ensure a close working relationship with Ward/Departmental Housekeeper.

Sponsorship and eligibility

WHH holds a Sponsor Licence; we may be able to sponsor you provided the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship, there is a minimum set of criteria and not all roles are eligible. Review eligibility on the Government website before submitting your application.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness in-line with Trust cleaning protocols.
  • Carry out cleaning tasks and operate equipment such as buffing machines and vacuums.
  • Move buckets of water and cleaning equipment as required for the area.
  • Ensure correct use, security and storage of own equipment and cleaning materials.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels and use materials appropriately.
  • Communicate with colleagues and ensure a close working relationship with Ward/Departmental Housekeeper.
Hours
  • 37.5 hours Monday to Friday 7am - 3pm
  • 30 hours Monday to Friday 7am - 1pm
  • 25 hours Monday to Friday 3pm - 8pm
  • 15 hours Saturday and Sunday 10pm to 6am
