Position: Domestic Assistant

Care home: Hamilton Springs

Location: Westfield Lane, South Elmsall, Pontefract, WF9 2JY

Contract type: 22 hours per week - shift pattern 8am-1.30pm / 12.30pm-6pm

Rate: £12.21 per hour

Do you take pride in your cleaning standards and attention to detail? As a Domestic Assistant, you’ll ensure that our home is clean and welcoming for the people who live and work here.

As part of our Domestic Team, you’ll carry out all daily and weekly cleaning routines, including dusting, mopping, polishing, and vacuuming.

You’ll clean all areas in the home, including bedrooms, lounges, kitchens, bathrooms, and offices.

About the role

Our Domestic Assistants ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our home.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

1. Carrying out all cleaning routines and ad-hoc duties
2. Cleaning and tidying designated areas such as bedrooms, lounges, kitchens, bathrooms, and offices
3. Performing dusting, mopping, polishing, and vacuuming
4. Using equipment like carpet cleaning machines
5. Supporting with laundry tasks
6. Reporting breakages, damages, and hazards
7. Promoting trust, choice, dignity, and independence

You’ll put residents at the heart of everything you do, whether hoovering bedrooms or polishing photo frames. We guarantee rewarding experiences.

If you have no prior care sector experience, we’ll support you with induction, buddy, and ongoing training.

Relevant experience is valued but not essential.
