Job description

Our Housekeepers are responsible for contributing to the provision of a clean, safe and comfortable environment for our patients, staff and visitors. We are looking to expand our team and are hiring for the following shift:

  • 20 hours per week - 5pm to 9pm

While experience in domestic or commercial cleaning is helpful, full induction and ongoing training will be provided. There are also opportunities for further training and development.

Responsibilities include:
  • High and low dusting
  • Damp dusting furniture, fixtures, fittings, and ledges
  • High frequency touchpoint cleans
  • Spot cleaning internal glass as necessary
  • Cleaning telephones
  • Cleaning wash hand basins, sinks, showers, WCs, and fittings; replenishing supplies
  • Cleaning and refilling soap dispensers and paper towel holders
  • Collecting and disposing of rubbish; cleaning bins
  • Assisting with serving patient meals and making patient drinks
  • Routine curtain changes
  • Cleaning domestic equipment and storage areas
  • Using polishing/scrubbing machines for hard floor maintenance
  • Using extraction machines for carpet/upholstery cleaning
  • Using steam cleaners as required
  • Using ride-on cleaning equipment such as sweepers, scrubbers, dryers, and burnishers
