Join Our Team as a Domestic Assistant

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join the Medirest family as Domestic Assistants. In this role, you will deliver outstanding cleaning services for patients, visitors, and staff at the hospital, playing a vital role in infection control and hospital operations.

Responsibilities include:

1. High and low dusting, mopping, wiping, and scrubbing surfaces.
2. Cleaning wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, infected, and public areas.
3. Maintaining rubbish bins and removing waste when full.
4. Ensuring all areas are clean, presentable, and safe by following policies and procedures.
5. Using equipment safely in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Passionate about patient care with effective communication skills with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.
• Ability to work under pressure, independently and as part of a team, with flexibility.
• Comfortable working in a hospital environment, aware of interacting with unwell or distressed patients.
• No prior experience as a Domestic Assistant is necessary; pride in your work and willingness to learn are most important.
• This position requires a Disclosure & Barring Service check, with costs covered by the employer.
