Job summary

Akari Care is seeking a Domestic Assistant to maintain high cleanliness and hygiene standards in residents' rooms and communal areas within our care home.

You will work with domestic and laundry teams, promoting continual improvement while respecting residents' dignity and individuality. The role requires flexibility, a caring nature, and strong teamwork to support older adults daily.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in residents' rooms and communal areas.
  • Collaborate with domestic and laundry teams to meet care home standards.
  • Promote continual improvement of cleanliness and resident wellbeing.
  • Assess and respond to the domestic needs of all residents.
  • Follow all policies and procedures to ensure a safe, clean environment.
  • Support residents with respect, dignity and personal care where appropriate.

Job description

** Full time and part time shifts available **

Working alongside and in collaboration with your colleagues in the domestic and laundry teams, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our residents' rooms and in all communal areas. You will be adaptable and approachable in nature, not only prioritising resident care always but actively promoting continual improvement of standards in all areas. This approach should reinforce the provision of a clean and healthy environment in which our residents are valued, respected, and retain their individualism and dignity. You will continually assess the domestic needs of all residents. Through the adherence to all policies and procedures you and your colleagues will ensure delivery of the highest standards that make a true difference to each of our residents, contributing to the ongoing fulfilment of their lives.
