Overview

Position: Domestic Assistant
Care home: Adswood Lodge
Location: Stockport, SK3 8HZ
Contract type: 20 hours per week - Permanent Part Time
Rate: £12.21 per hour

About the role

Our Domestic Assistants ensure that our home maintains high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. You’ll carry out daily and weekly cleaning routines and ad-hoc duties, including dusting, mopping, polishing and vacuuming. You’ll clean all areas in the home including residents’ bedrooms, lounges, kitchens, bathrooms and offices. You’ll use equipment such as carpet cleaning machines, and support with washing and drying laundry as required. You will report breakages, damage, defects and hazards, and contribute to building trust while promoting choice, dignity and independence.

No two days will be the same, and you’ll be part of a team that helps make the home welcoming for residents and staff. If you haven’t worked in the care sector before, you’ll receive an induction, buddy support and ongoing training programmes.
