Job summary

Greenways Care Home in Anniesland is seeking a friendly Domestic Assistant to help create a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents. You will handle cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, and support laundry while upholding high hygiene standards.

This hands-on role values attention to detail, reliability and teamwork; training will cover infection control and safety procedures, and staff PVG checks, pension and uniform are provided along with generous annual leave.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial.
• Previous experience is welcomed but not essential.

Greenways Care Home is a stunning new, purpose-built home in Anniesland, offering high-quality residential, dementia, nursing and respite care for 58 residents across four warm, community-focused floors.

Domestic Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 37.5 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Domestic Assistant, you will play an essential role in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment that supports wellbeing, dignity and comfort. This is a hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will have a direct impact on daily life.

You will be responsible for cleaning residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. You will also support laundry services, helping to ensure personal belongings are handled with care and returned correctly.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and cleaning procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in line with required standards. Your role will contribute to a well organised, respectful and comfortable environment for everyone.
