NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a part-time Domestic Assistant to join their team at Greenhills Health Centre. Qualifications

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Domestic Assistant to join our team at Greenhills Health Centre

The post holder will provide a domestic service to patients, staff and visitors of NHS Lanarkshire, (NHSL) premises through the use of effective and efficient methods, which deliver a ‘safe’ and welcoming environment and meet the required NHSL and Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI )standards.

To work alongside and support new staff in the working environment.

What we'll need you to bring
  • Knowledge of cleaning standards and related procedures.
  • Required to undertake on-the-job training and induction (this will generally take 4-6 weeks, depending on hours/days worked ), to achieve full competency across a range of duties
  • Undertake NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training
  • Undertake mandatory Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) standards
  • Undertake and complete the NHSS Domestic Services Workbook.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively and efficiently in a busy environment
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology.

Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

It would be great if you also have
  • Recognised SVQ or relevant equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in a domestic services/cleaning environment
  • Ability to use a range of electrical cleaning equipment

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in PSSD Hotel Services department within Greenhills Health Centre

The working pattern for this role is: Mon -Thu 4.45pm- 8pm & Fri 4.45pm - 7.18pm
