NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a dedicated domestic cleaner to provide a high quality cleaning service across CHP premises, ensuring a clean, safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
The post holder will follow cleaning schedules, use cleaning agents safely, wear PPE, comply with Infection Prevention and Control guidelines, and contribute to a professional, welcoming healthcare setting.

We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people, and to a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
To provide a high quality domestic cleaning service across CHP premises, ensuring a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors. The post holder will work in accordance with agreed cleaning schedules, methods and procedures, following the NHS Scotland National Cleaning Specification and Healthcare Associated Infection (HAI) Task Force Code of Practice. The role requires a flexible approach to daily tasks and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and customer service at all times.
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Heath and Care Worker visa. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is unable to provide candidates or employees with a Certificate of Sponsorship (COS).
Provide an efficient and high-quality domestic service within the healthcare facility, ensuring designated areas are cleaned in accordance with agreed schedules and frequencies. Use cleaning agents safely and economically, following manufacturer instructions, and operate and maintain cleaning equipment correctly. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and maintain high standards of personal hygiene and professional conduct. Dispose of waste in accordance with relevant policies and procedures and respond promptly to any cleaning rectifications identified through audits. Comply with Infection Prevention and Control guidelines, including colour-coding systems, and undertake bed screen or curtain changing where required. Follow Health and Safety regulations and adhere to training relating to manual handling, risk assessments and fire safety. Report faulty equipment, store cleaning materials safely and correctly, and work effectively as part of a team to ensure a safe and clean healthcare environment
