Job summary

Randolph Hill Nursing Homes Group LTD in Edinburgh seeks a Domestic Assistant for Ashley Court, a well-regarded home with strong inspection grades. You will help keep the home clean, safe and welcoming for residents and visitors.

Working hours are 08:00–14:30 or 08:00–16:00 with four to five weeks rota planning and alternate weekends. The role requires reliability, teamwork and a hands‑on approach in a busy domestic setting.

Qualifications

At least 1 years experience working within a fast moving domestic or cleaning role - this could be from any environment.

Responsibilities

Follow housekeeping instructions laid down by the company and directed by the Manager/Nurse in charge.
Uphold residents’ rights to privacy, dignity and choice.
Operate tools and equipment safely and display warning signs as appropriate.
Report any damage to equipment, furnishings or fabric of the building to the supervisor.
Use chemicals safely and economically as instructed in the manual.
Keep furniture and carpets clean and free of odours.
Maintain high cleanliness standards to reflect the company image.
Dispose of waste materials and rubbish as instructed.
Report discrepancies in stock control to the Manager.
Report injuries or dangerous occurrences to staff.
Wear company uniform at all times when on duty.
Wear and use protective clothing and equipment as directed.
Comply with all safe working policies and procedures.
Attend training and staff meetings as requested by the manager.
Be familiar with fire instructions and evacuation policies.
Familiarise with company policy on domestic duties, sick leave and annual leave.
Read notices displayed in the work area and adhere to them.

Randolph Hill are searching for a Domestic Assistant for our exceptional Ashley Court Nursing Home in Morningside, Edinburgh. Ashley Court has been among the top performing homes in the local area for many years based on consistently strong care inspection grades and reviews on carehome.co.uk. This post will have working hours of either 0800 – 1430 or 0800 - 1600. Rota's are completed 4-5 weeks in advance with alternate weekends on and off.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
