Randolph Hill Nursing Homes Group is seeking an exceptional Care Assistant for Blenham House in Edinburgh. The role supports delivering high-quality care to residents, upholding dignity and rights, and maintaining a safe environment.

The post offers training, structured career development, and a positive working environment with opportunities to work across multiple Randolph Hill homes. Overtime is paid at time and a third, with a strong staff support structure.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of care experience within elderly care settings or student nurses.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including report writing.
• Good time-management and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to deal with a variety of issues and respond appropriately.
• SVQ 3 is essential for Principal Carer posts along with leadership experience in a care environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of care experience within any elderly care setting, or student nurses
• From time to time we may consider people without experience if they have good reasons for working in care and the skill mix allows
• For Principal Carer posts an SVQ 3 is essential along with team leadership experience in a care environment
• Experience working with elderly people and knowledge of dementia, delivering clinical support

• Strong problem‑solving and ability to manage a diverse range of situations effectively
