Healthcare Ireland Group in Armagh is seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to support the Home environment and the Housekeeper. You will help keep rooms and communal areas clean, tidy and welcoming for residents, while following COSHH safety rules and schedules.

Working closely with care teams, you will contribute to the residents' wellbeing and quality of life, with opportunities for training and progression within a values‑led, equal‑opportunities employer.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the expected cleanliness and hygiene standards are achieved throughout the home
• Cover domestic duties as assigned
• Identify and report any damage, faults or other issues to maintenance or management
• Adhere to the cleaning and auditing schedule
• Use and store cleaning products in accordance to COSHH regulations
• Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager or Housekeeper.

Orchard Lodge is a wonderfully positioned, purpose‑built residential care and nursing home in Armagh. Our home benefits from views of the two local cathedrals and the surrounding city from most of the bedrooms, main lounges and all dining rooms.

Here at Orchard Lodge, we offer professional, person‑centred residential and nursing care, as well as specialist care for those living with dementia. We are also registered to provide care for young people with physical disabilities.

All our private, light and spacious bedrooms are fully‑furnished, with the benefit of en‑suite facilities. Residents are very welcome to bring their own home accessories and furniture, to personalise their space and make it their home. Our facilities are designed to enable residents to be as independent as possible, with the assistance of 24 hour care.

The role

The role of the Domestic Assistant is essential in our mission to provide excellent care. Supporting the Housekeeper with the environment of the Home, the Domestic Assistant will contribute to the wellbeing and quality of life of our residents. The Domestic Assistant will ensure that the Home is clean, tidy and welcoming at all times.

The Domestic Assistant role at Healthcare Ireland Group works closely with the care teams and residents, building trusting relationships to create a comfortable environment where our residents feel safe and cared for. From ensuring that rooms are clean to tidying communal areas, every task contributes to the value that we add to the lives of our residents.

About The Role
