Job summary

Placr Recruitment is seeking an experienced Domestic Appliance Engineer to join a rapidly expanding team covering the BN postcode area. You will diagnose faults and carry out high-quality repairs on washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators and other white goods.

Working Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm, you will travel to customers' homes, provide a professional service, and benefit from ongoing training, a company van and real opportunities for progression, including area

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Domestic Appliance Engineer or similar.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across domestic appliances.
• Experience repairing washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers and refrigerators.
• Able to work independently in a customer-facing environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Salary: £34,000 - £38,000 per annum + Bonus

The Role

As a Domestic Appliance Engineer, you will be responsible for visiting customers in their homes, diagnosing faults and carrying out high-quality repairs on a variety of household appliances.

Working independently in the field, you will provide a professional and reliable service while ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair faults across a wide range of domestic appliances.
• Service and repair washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators and other white goods.
• Travel to customer properties throughout your designated postcode area.
• Identify mechanical and electrical faults and carry out appropriate repairs.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional approach.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
• Attend regular technical training to develop your skills and product knowledge.
• Work independently, managing your daily workload and customer appointments.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience working as a Domestic Appliance Engineer, White Goods Engineer or Appliance Repair Technician.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across domestic appliances.
• Practical experience repairing washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers and refrigeration appliances.
• Ability to work independently and confidently in a customer-facing environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to develop your technical knowledge.
• Flexibility to travel throughout the designated BN postcode area.
