Job Role: Domestic Abuse & Womens Outreach Community Services Manager

Salary: £35,000

Location: Coventry

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

I am currently working with a fantastic charitable organisation that specialises in the safety of victims of domestic abuse.

As a community services manager you will be responsible for developing, managing and leading a team that keeps the safety of victims of domestic abuse central to all processes. You will have direct and overall responsibility for the staff and clients that access the service.

Responsible for the day-to-day management of staff, ensuring appropriate and effective delivery of services to survivors, including risk assessments, safety planning, referrals in house, to other agencies and MARAC.

In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of IDVA, Outreach and Helpline. You will be doing rota's, budgeting, managing staff, training staff, assisting with benefit claims, using computer systems and CMS, conducting talks and presentations to local authorities, the public and other organisations and much more.

To be successful within this role;


You will have a strong background in working with people who have been victims of domestic violence and abuse

  • You will have worked for a non-profit organisation and have a good knowledge of how the benefits system works.
  • Provide routine reports/monitoring to managers, funders and stakeholders so that they can assess the overall performance of the service
  • You will also need to have experience of having worked within a social care / welfare setting, and within safeguarding guidelines to protect and promote the well-being of children and vulnerable adults.
  • You will have an in-depth knowledge of relevant legislations such as Children's Act, Safeguarding Children, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Domestic Violence Crime and Victims Act, Forced Marriages (Civil Protection) Act 2007, and the new Domestic Abuse Bill.
