Job summary

A reputable domestic abuse charity in Ammanford is seeking a Domestic Abuse Support Worker. You will provide high-quality, trauma-informed support to individuals and families affected by domestic abuse, helping them navigate housing, benefits, and legal guidance while ensuring their safety. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of relevant experience and strong communication skills. This role offers a salary of £22,500 - £23,500 for 35 hours a week (Monday - Friday).

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years' experience supporting vulnerable individuals/families.
  • Knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact.
  • A valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle.

Domestic Abuse Support Worker

Brook Street Social Care are recruiting on behalf of a well reputable domestic abuse charity in the Ammanford area for a domestic abuse support worker in the community.

In this vital front line role, you'll provide high-quality, trauma-informed support to individuals and families affected by domestic abuse. You'll work within a dedicated team, delivering holistic, person-centred services that empower survivors to rebuild safe and independent lives.

The Role:

  • Deliver risk assessments, safety planning, and tailored support
  • Help survivors access housing, benefits, and legal guidance
  • Liaise with partner agencies and ensure safeguarding at all times
  • Support adults, children, and young people using a whole-family approach

What you will need:

  • At least 2 years' experience supporting vulnerable individuals/families
  • Knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact
  • Strong communication, advocacy and organisational skills
  • A valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle
  • Relevant domestic abuse experience

Desirable: Welsh speaker and/or relevant domestic abuse qualifications
