Job summary

BSWA invites applications to support women and children affected by domestic abuse as part of the FDAC Intervention Team. The role brings expertise to the multi‑agency partnership, providing emotional and practical support to families with diverse needs, including domestic violence, substance misuse and mental health issues.

The post requires conducting family assessments, working within safeguarding guidelines, and planning and evaluating direct work programmes to improve outcomes for children

• Support women and children affected by domestic abuse.
• Undertake family assessments using assessment tools.
• Work within safeguarding guidelines to protect children and vulnerable adults.
• Plan and deliver appropriate direct work programmes and evaluate effectiveness.
