Belmont Recruitment in Southampton is seeking a Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker (Home Security Specialist) to coordinate enhanced home security for clients in Southampton, helping victims and survivors of domestic abuse remain safely in their own homes through target hardening measures and safety equipment.

The role requires delivering support and coordinating security equipment, working with local schemes and safeguarding partners, and ensuring welfare of children and vulnerable adults.

Qualifications

• Domestic abuse outreach experience is preferred but not essential (training provided).
• Target hardening/home security background desirable but not essential (training provided).
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Practical, solutions-focused approach.
• Applicants must be living free from abuse.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, advice and assistance to those affected by or at risk of domestic abuse.
• Coordinate target hardening and safety equipment at clients' properties.
• Work alongside schemes including Southampton City Council's Dove scheme, The Blue Lamp Trust and other social landlord offers.
• Link with relevant partners, including the Whole Housing Approach Co-ordinator.
• Ensure children's and vulnerable adults' welfare in line with safeguarding policy and procedures.
