Our client, an award-winning and innovative women-only organisation, is seeking an experienced Domestic Housing Manager responsible for overseeing their London service.
Synopsis of Duties
- Recruit, train, and develop a team of frontline workers (IDVAs, caseworkers, specialist project staff) to provide high-quality services to women experiencing domestic violence and abuse, ensuring policies and values are embedded into service delivery.
- Manage and support frontline staff through performance management, including appraisals and supervision, and oversee training tailored to team and individual needs.
- Monitor team performance, providing coaching and feedback to meet KPIs and outcome measures, and address poor performance promptly.
- Oversee caseload management to maintain standards in line with Women’s Aid and Safelives standards.
- Optimize resource use, understand budget constraints, and support senior management in budget allocation.
- Develop systems, processes, and procedures for data collection and service improvement.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative team culture through regular meetings and communication about service developments.
- Collaborate with other managers to re-accredit the service, improve practices, and report on challenges and achievements.
- Build and maintain partnerships with agencies to ensure a systemic approach to domestic abuse services, centering women’s voices.
- Work with the Senior Management Team to identify service gaps, develop projects, and support service extension.
- Act as the main contact for communication with commissioners and partner agencies.
- Represent the service at multi-agency meetings, sharing outcomes and initiatives.
- Gather evidence and respond to consultations to improve services for survivors.
- Participate in supervision, training, and meetings, contributing to service development.
Essential Requirements
- Experience managing frontline staff and supporting effective, safe service delivery for women and girls.
- Excellent time management skills to monitor and report on service outcomes.
- Strong communication skills to build relationships internally and externally.
- Ability to adapt to change and support teams through transitions.
- Enthusiastic attitude to motivate colleagues and stakeholders.
- DBS check on the update service.
- Availability to start immediately.
