Domestic Abuse Education Lead

12-Month Interim Contract | Flexible Hybrid Working | West Midlands

Competitive Hourly Rate (Inside IR35)

Are you passionate about supporting children affected by domestic abuse and driving real change within education settings?

An exciting interim opportunity has arisen for an experienced Domestic Abuse Education Lead to join a forward-thinking organisation for a 12-month contract. This role plays a vital part in ensuring children impacted by domestic abuse are supported effectively within educational environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery of Operation Encompass, ensuring timely and effective communication with education settings
  • Provide advice, support, and training on domestic abuse, including MARAC processes, to schools and other educational providers
  • Develop safeguarding processes for vulnerable children, including those in temporary accommodation or refuge
  • Coordinate and evaluate domestic abuse programmes for families, in partnership with Early Help and other services
  • Work collaboratively with police and safeguarding teams to enhance education settings’ response to domestic abuse
  • Represent education settings at steering groups and contribute to wider domestic abuse strategies and awareness campaigns
  • Support quality assurance activities, contribute to case management discussions, and promote best practice across the service

Requirements:

  • Significant experience working within the domestic abuse sector, providing advice on risk and safety planning
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding within educational settings
  • Ability to deliver training, webinars, and support initiatives to a range of audiences
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (Children’s Workforce)
  • Confident working with data to inform reporting and service improvement
