Dogs Trust is seeking a Dog Welfare Assistant at our Loughborough Rehoming Centre. This part-time, permanent role (26.25 hours per week) focuses on daily dog care, enrichment, and helping dogs find loving homes.

You will educate owners and visitors about dog welfare, deliver friendly customer service, and contribute to a supportive team environment. A full manual driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communicator with empathy for people and animals.
• Full manual driving licence is essential for the role.
• Experience with dogs or animal welfare is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care to dogs at the rehoming centre following Dogs Trust guidelines.
• Educate potential new owners and the public on dog care and welfare.
• Deliver excellent customer service to visitors to the centre.
