Head Stylist (Dog Groomer) – Sutton in Ashfield

Who are we?

We’re Pets at Home – a well-known Pet Care Centre chain that includes Pet Grooming salons and Vets for Pets practices across the UK.

What’s the role?

Our Head Stylists are vital to the success of our Grooming salons. You will be responsible for all aspects of pet grooming, delivering high-standard, thorough grooms. As Head Stylist, you will lead by example, setting grooming standards, handling advanced grooming requests, upskilling staff, and motivating your team. You will ensure excellent customer experiences while contributing to the salon’s commercial success.

We provide training, skills, and knowledge to help you deliver service aligned with our goal of being the 'Best Pet Care Business in the World'. You will enjoy a competitive base salary, with opportunities to earn through our Earn As You Learn programs, and additional pay supplements for extra training.

Who are we looking for?

• Passionate about providing excellent service.
• Flexible, with the ability to work a shift pattern over 6 days a week (closed on Sundays). The minimum contract is 39 hours, but additional hours may be required during busy periods, absences, or holidays.
• Confident with a good understanding of dog grooming, styles, and trends, capable of completing high-standard groomings from start to finish across different breeds.
• Experience in a customer-facing salon environment.
• Preferably experienced in target-driven settings, but willing to train suitable candidates.
