Job Title: Documentation Legal Advisor

Contract: 6-12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Salary: Competitive + Performance Bonus + Benefits

Reporting To: Head of Documentation and General Counsel

Location: London (City of London), United Kingdom

About the Role

Join a global risk management firm as a Documentation Legal Advisor to support the legal team on a regulatory project for a fixed-term period of 6-12 months.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
  1. Review third-party and outsourcing agreements, ensuring legal accuracy and compliance with relevant laws.
  2. Draft and prepare legal documents including IT agreements, contracts, and pleadings.
  3. Maintain and organise legal records and databases, ensuring accessibility and currency.
  4. Utilise document management software to handle large volumes of legal documents.
  5. Apply existing templates following company best practices.
  6. Provide updates on outstanding legal issues.
  7. Coordinate issuance of new agreements as existing ones expire.
  8. Negotiate agreement terms directly with counterparties.
  9. Research legal materials to support duties.
  10. Keep abreast of current and upcoming regulations.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  1. Legal degree or equivalent qualification.
  2. Minimum 2 years relevant legal experience.
  3. Experience in a regulated environment preferred.
  4. Strong team player with excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  5. Good organisational and interpersonal skills.
  6. Effective communicator able to build internal and external relationships.
