Job description

We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Document Reviewer for our client, a well-respected organisation in the investigation and prosecution of serious and complex fraud, bribery, and corruption. This is initially a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension, paying £14.50 per hour, for 36 hours per week. The role offers hybrid working with 2 days in the office (Embankment) and 3 days from home.

Responsibilities:

  1. Read, understand, and analyse complex and technical information related to ongoing cases.
  2. Review a high volume of documents for relevancy and disclosure, meeting targets.
  3. Provide feedback to the team based on your review and understanding of the case.
  4. Utilise digital review systems and Excel to review and describe digital material accurately.
  5. Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and accurately record large volumes of information.
  6. Manage and analyse data effectively using Excel.
  7. Identify potential Legal Professional Privilege material and refer it to the appropriate team members.
  8. Collaborate with the case team and perform any other specific tasks as required.

Required skills and experience:

  1. A law degree obtained in England and Wales or a degree with a law conversion course.
  2. Understanding of disclosure requirements, including CPIA legislation. Prior research on the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act is essential if you have experience in civil law disclosure.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  4. Ability to interpret complex and technical information.
  5. Experience in criminal law, financial crime prosecutions, or similar investigations is desirable.
  6. Familiarity with large document review exercises and digital review platforms is an advantage.
  7. Knowledge of organisational structures in similar fields is beneficial.
