Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Document Management Specialist in Warrington for part-time telework. You will support document and information management, ensuring quality and security while collaborating with project teams and stakeholders.

The role may require three days of in-person attendance per week at the office or project site. The position emphasizes experience with document management processes, metadata, and dashboards, with adherence to UK regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in working on technically complex projects where regulatory compliance is key.
  • Previous experience with data analysis and metadata management.
  • Must be familiar with UK regulation and legislation as it relates to records management and information security.
  • Must be flexible and able to accept and quickly adapt to changes in work focus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to a different site for meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborative working with and amongst different stakeholder teams.
  • Delivery of document management process appropriate for each category and classification of document/drawing to ensure effective control and management of documents.
  • Routine document management activities such as publishing, generating reports, generating and issuing transmittals, library management, etc.
  • Provide guidance to project teams on best practice document management, and appropriate use of information systems.
  • Manage and continuously improve the approach to monitoring and maintaining accuracy, alignment, and quality of meta data, suggesting improvements to processes where appropriate.
  • Development and implementation of work processes to collect, organise, and deliver data to support project completion.
  • Provide oversight and assurance on subcontractor information processes to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Production of dashboards and reports.
  • Take necessary care to properly protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of project information from unauthorised disclosure, modification, or destruction. Never knowingly put Client’s information or information systems at risk*
  • Provide guidance and/or coaching to project and or subcontractor team as necessary.
  • Coordinate project close‑out activities inclusive of all functional groups represented on project.

Project Overview:

The Kilns 3&4 Project is Urenco ChemPlant’s Tails Management Facility expansion project (UK Tails Management Facility: Nuclear new build on an impressive scale | News | Urenco) here in the UK. Urenco have chosen Bechtel as the Contractor to help deliver the expansion project.


Bechtel is currently sourcing for a Document Management Specialist(DMS). Offers will be extended contingent upon the final selection.


Job Summary:

The Document Management Specialist will receive supervision from the Project Information Manager. They will provide a service to effectively support activities related to both document and information management and assist in ensuring quality and security aspects of information management is maintained.
This position is designated as part‑time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership..


Major Responsibilities:

The DMS may be required to travel between work sites whilst providing support to the Project in relation to the following:



  • Collaborative working with and amongst different stakeholder teams.

  • Delivery of document management process appropriate for each category and classification of document/drawing to ensure effective control and management of documents.

  • Routine document management activities such as publishing, generating reports, generating and issuing transmittals, library management, etc.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Required Knowledge and Skills:


  • Demonstrable experience in performing in an information or document management role as well as the ability to demonstrate advanced proficiency using Microsoft Access, Excel, Visio, and Word.

  • Must have significant experience in using 2 or more industry known content management systems

  • Must be able to work well in a complex team environment and follow through on initiatives.

  • Must be able to share knowledge and contribute to the project and team goals.

  • Must possess and be able to demonstrate a high degree of individual initiative, discretion, and diplomacy.
