FES are currently seeking an organised, proactive, and detail-oriented Document Controller and Project Support professional to join our team on the HMPG Project. This is a key role supporting both document management and general project administration, ensuring the smooth flow of information between all project stakeholders — internal and external. You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and clients to ensure that documentation and data are accurately recorded, well-organised, and accessible when needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in document control within the construction, engineering, or MEP sectors and enjoy being at the heart of project operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with document control procedures throughout all phases of the project.
  • Track and report document status to project stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative support to the project team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Set up and maintain electronic filing systems on company servers.
  • Assist in preparing O&M manuals and ensure documentation is compliant and properly formatted.
  • Coordinate internal and external communication regarding documentation and reporting.
  • Support the preparation of reports and information for client meetings, inductions, and training.
  • Maintain administrative risk registers and assist in tracking KPIs and Social Value commitments.
  • Attend internal meetings to record minutes and actions when required.
  • Assist with travel arrangements, equipment tracking, and project coordination tasks.
Requirements & Experience
  • Experience in a similar role within construction, engineering, or MEP environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of CDE platforms (Viewpoint, ACC; Morta experience is advantageous).
  • Familiarity with BIM processes and MEP workflows (beneficial but not essential).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Able to prioritise, multitask, and work both independently and as part of a team.
Personal Attributes
  • Experience in similar role/construction environment
  • Client-focused and professional approach.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative.
  • Calm under pressure and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Positive attitude, enthusiastic, and dependable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team player mentality.
