Job description

Location: Wigan & Leigh College

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:30 AM 4:30 PM

Annual Leave: 23 days plus 8 bank holidays, with an increase of 1 day for every five years of service. A portion of leave (typically 5-7 days plus 3 bank holidays) is allocated for the Christmas closure, confirmed annually.

Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join a growing construction company, supporting both the BREEAM and HSEQ teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collating and gathering evidence to support BREEAM compliance on live projects
  • Assisting the HSEQ department with periodic document reviews
  • Conducting ISO internal audits with the potential to develop into a Lead Auditor role
  • Monitoring project reports and following up on outstanding information
  • Attending relevant committee meetings and maintaining records/minutes
  • Providing general administrative support as required
  • Covering reception duties in cases of unplanned absences
  • Training and development opportunities available for the right candidate

Person Specification:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within the construction industry
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify areas for improvement and suggest solutions
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and prioritise tasks during busy periods
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
  • Analytical mindset with good numerical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Commercial and financial awareness with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience or training in ISO audits and/or sustainability is desirable but not essential
