About The Role

As a Document Controller Lead you will have the lead role in delivering document control policies and procedures for a portfolio of projects, covering the full information lifecycle, from document creation, review and approval through to release, retention and retrieval. The individual will be the key point of contact, responsible for ensuring the flow of project documentation in accordance with key processes & procedures and in support of project requirements, managing the Document Control team providing training, support and guidance, as required.

You will report to the Programme Manager and be located at Springfields.

Key Responsibilities

  • Control of all project documentation from document creation, review and approval through to release, retention & retrieval.
  • Ensuring revision, status and stage control of all project documentation.
  • Maintain and ensure integrity and accuracy of Electronic Documentation.
  • Maintain and ensure integrity and accuracy of Project Document Registers.
  • Maintain the Export Control tracker and record activities for all Projects.
  • Effectively manage the flow of information and maintain Document Distribution lists.
  • Monitor Workflow for Project Management / Engineering / Design documentation.
  • Monitor Workflow for approval / acceptance of Client / Sub-contractor / Supplier Documentation.
  • Ensure full auditability of document control arrangements for both internal and externally produced documentation.
  • Production of weekly reports of outstanding deliverables and issue weekly to the Project Team for action.
  • Monitor deliverable documentation progress against the project quality arrangements, identifying areas of concern to the project and where necessary escalate to the Project Manager.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their requirements / expectations for quality control.

Qualifications

  • Good working knowledge of the Nuclear industry and all relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Excellent working knowledge of document control procedures and best practices from document creation, review and approval through to release, retention and retrieval.
  • Excellent working knowledge of setting up and managing electronic database management systems.
  • Good knowledge of Design, Vendor, Construction, NEC3 Data Processes.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a larger team, whilst managing the project DC team.
  • Systematic and logical approach to tasks.
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Excellent communication skills; written, verbal plus analytical & problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literate with experience in using software packages relevant to the role e.g.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Internet, etc. Training on Westinghouse application such as Prime and SAP will be given as required.
  • The ability to produce accurate and appropriate information in a timely manner.
