Job Description:

A Legal Document Automation Manager opportunity has arisen with a London-based Law Firm to join their team working on Legal Tech innovation.

About the Legal Document Automation Manager role:

  • You will join a team focused on firm-wide cutting-edge innovation within the Legal Tech space and will have the opportunity to showcase your expertise in Legal Document Automation to drive pioneering change in the company.
  • This role is for someone curious about innovation in legal tech. You will be responsible for the overall Document Automation strategy and will have the freedom to explore and recommend new ways to optimize Document Automation using technology (e.g., new platforms, holistic solutions).
  • The firm is embracing GenAI, and you will have the opportunity to be involved in related projects, especially around the impact on Legal Document Automation. You will regularly present on what GenAI means for Document Automation and make recommendations to leverage tech innovation.
  • In addition to internal Legal Document Automation projects, you will manage external relationships with third-party Document Automation software & services.
  • You will have responsibility for a Document Automation developer, so leadership experience or interest is required. This is a hands-on role in a lean innovation team, so comfort with Document Automation development (e.g., templates, change requests) is necessary.

Skills required for the Legal Document Automation Manager role:

  • Expertise in developing Legal Document Automation products (e.g., HotDocs, Contract Express, or similar).
  • A passion for innovation in legal tech processes, especially related to Document Automation.
  • Experience working on IT innovation projects in Legal Tech within a professional services environment.

This role has a global scope and offers remote work (with an expectation to be in London 1 day/month for stakeholder engagement, team meetings, and supervision of the Document Automation Developer).
