PSC Group is seeking a Dock Operator to join our team! This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently and outdoors around the waterways. The Dock Operator serves as the person-in-charge of the dock and assists the Tankerman with the safe transfer of oil products and chemicals to and from barges and/or ships. This is a regular full-time position with potential advancement opportunities. If you're looking for a stable, long-term career in a booming industry, then consider joining the PSC family!



Work Schedule: This position will be dedicated to a facility working a rotating 12-hour shift schedule



Pay Range: Starting at $20 an hour



Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Meets with the person-in-charge of the vessel and communicates with facility personnel

  • Maintains detailed dock logs to ensure all events are recorded in chronological order

  • Operates crane, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical equipment, and manual / motor operated valves

  • Understands the facility piping layout to transfer the proper product

  • Gauges barge and retrieves sample of product from vessel

  • Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.


Job Qualifications:

  • Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available

  • Must have a valid Driver's License and a valid TWIC card

  • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.

  • Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check

  • Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
