The successful candidate will establish an ambitious research programme focused on accelerating materials discovery, development and translation of functional electronic materials and devices. The Department is particularly interested in automation, computational materials discovery, and low-power electronic devices for information communication technologies.Research may be experimental, computational or integrated, but should present a compelling vision for addressing challenges in energy materials and technologies. The successful candidate will provide intellectual and strategic leadership, build major interdisciplinary collaborations across the Department, School and wider University, and engage effectively with external partners. They should possess the vision, leadership, experience and enthusiasm to sustain and extend Cambridge's leading research presence, and will hold a PhD or equivalent postgraduate qualification.Standard professorial duties include teaching and research, examining, supervision and administration.
