Job summary

Eurofins Forensic Services (EFS) in Warrington is seeking a DNA analyst to join a high-throughput team responsible for rigorous examination of biological evidence. You will perform STR profiling from swabs to exhibits, using DNA extraction, quantification, PCR, data analysis and reporting within GLP-compliant procedures.

The role is based on a 37.5-hour week with two shift patterns and weekend/bank holiday work as rotating schedules.

Qualifications

• GLP awareness and compliance in a high-throughput lab environment.
• Willingness to undergo comprehensive training and competency assessments.
• Ability to operate under strict regulatory standards and maintain traceability.

Responsibilities

• Carry out testing and documentation of forensic samples following SOPs and timelines.
• Perform STR profiling on exhibits and samples using routine and specialist techniques.
• Ensure GLP standards and quality systems are followed at all times.
• Support laboratory operations through housekeeping, archiving, and stock monitoring.
• Identify non-conformances or near misses and contribute to process improvements.
• Pursue continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy in scientific and operational activities.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues to maintain an efficient laboratory workflow.
